I did a little research and discovered that bamboo salt is also knows as Jugyeom.
It is prepared by packing bay salt in a thick bamboo stem and baking it nine times at high temperatures using pine firewood.
The baking transforms bay salt into what is considered a health food product.
During the baking process, the impurities in the salt are either removed or neutralized while its inorganic contents--calcium, potassium, iron, copper, and zinc--are increased.
It is thought to be an anti-inflammatory, to combat cancer, and to help stomach ulcers, among other things.
I am enjoying using this bamboo salt by K-LAVA. It is a fine powder. It tastes good (like salt) with no harshness.
It is cost-prohibitive for me, personally, but it IS an excellent product! If I could afford to, I would make this bamboo salt a regular purchase.
This is my completely honest review of this product and I hope someone finds it helpful.

It was perfect for me but I don’t think it’s for everyone. My head felt cool after wash. It’s also salty so try best not to get it in your mouth. I have been using it with their shampoo product for little more than a week and I am already seeing results. Now my head shows less skin through the hair. I have very short hair so I didn’t need to use much but it would probably last less than a month if you have long hair. I would think this product would be best for people with short hair that are beginning to see signs of loss or thinning. I don’t think this product would be for people who already lost hair. It reminded me of bamboo salt toothpaste I used to use back in the day, which I loved

When I compared the taste of this Korean bamboo salt with regular sea salt the flavor is more intense and has greater depth--it is to be savored. The price point for this 8.11 ounce container is explained by the time and effort required to produce the end product. Bamboo salt is new to me but I admit being intrigued by the method and resulting flavor. There are excellent pictures on the product page showing some of the process. Making the salt is slow and exacting involving repeatedly baking the salt in bamboo stalks in a pine wood fire. This is done 8 times and then the 9th time the procedure is performed at over 3000 degrees Fahrenheit which results in the salt pillars melting like lava. It is stated that this causes contaminates like heavy metals to be removed and beneficial minerals like potassium, zinc, phosphorus, etc. to be maximized.

I like how nice this conditioner smells. Seems to last most of the day. Didn't have to use a lot on my hair. Left my hair nice and soft. It'll take some time for me to see if it helps my scalp.

This K-Lava Salt is excellent quality - but note there's a big reason why this is so expensive. If you read and research the process this undergoes in order to achieve the quality it has, you'll see that this is absolutely no ordinary salt that you throw into plain dishes like any other kind you encounter. It also has a slightly unusual flavor to it that's a little different - but smooth. I love this stuff for its unusual taste and the health benefits, too - and it's excellent quality. A little bit goes a long way, and I like the fine ground on this, as there are no clumps. You're not getting a big amount for the price, but again - this isn't something you're going to be using as regular salt to start with. It gets two thumbs up from me!

I had thought all salt were the same until I tried this! It's very fascinating on how they actually make this 9x K-lava salt. It certainly does not taste like regular table salt. It actually tastes saltier and has a sulfur flavor. I have to add less salt to my food and it works like a natural seasoning. The salt pieces are larger than table salt so it makes it harder to gauge the amount of salt to add. I try to be conservative about the amount because I can always add more later.
