Preparation : Sea Salt, Bamboo, Pine, Clay Soil, Cast iron Furnace
1.  Sea salt must be stored for longer than 3 years to remove Bittern (Nigari) from it.

2. Then the sea salt is put in bamboo stumps sealed with clay soil and is baked over pine tree firewood in a cast-iron furnace at over 1472 Fahrenheit degrees.

3. After the ash of the burned bamboo is removed the white salt pillar is crushed into powder.

4. The baked salt powder is sealed into another fresh bamboo stump and is baked again. This process is repeated 8 times.

5. On the 9th baking at the temperature of 3092 Fahrenheit degrees the salt boils just like lava.
Thus it is called the Lava Melting process. This must be done outside with enough fresh outdoor air in a “specially designed cast iron furnace” to combine the salt with medicinal molecules existing in the air.

While going through this lava-like melting process, any harmful contents such as heavy metals from sea salt are removed and the absorbability of beneficial minerals increases.

If the bamboo is completely combusted and the temperature is increased the salt will remain pure White Gray -this is the Original 9X bamboo salt.

If the bamboo is NOT completely combusted and the temperature is increased, the salt will turn dark as purple for it boils together with the burned bamboo
